The Gateway of India to Mandwa ferry is the primary sea route connecting Mumbai to Alibaug. Three catamaran operators — PNP, Maldar, and Ajanta — operate from the ferry terminal at Apollo Bandar, right next to the iconic Gateway of India monument in Colaba.

Ferries dock at Mandwa Jetty in Raigad district, approximately 20 km from Alibaug town. All catamaran tickets include a free connecting bus from Mandwa to Alibag ST Stand (~30–45 min).

This route is the fastest way to reach Alibaug from South Mumbai, taking just 55–75 minutes compared to 3–4 hours by road via the Mumbai–Pune Expressway.
